We’re an Oxfordshire-based brewery dedicated to producing beers with interesting flavour profiles, designed to be enjoyed both on their own and paired with food.
And
Isis is synonymous with rowing. It is the name given both to the River Thames as it flows through Oxford and to one of the Oxford University’s rowing boats that competes in the epic clash simply known as “The Boat Race”. It is this race and its many talented oarsmen from both sides of the Atlantic that have inspired this beer.
Isis Pale started its life as a bespoke beer brewed for a social group of dads from the Grandpont area of Oxford. The multinational team met yards from the Isis on cold winter nights, dreaming of summer ale. Enthused by English IPAs and American Pale Ale they crafted this beer with fruity European hops to complement Crystal and golden malted barleys. They dry hopped it with American citrus hops for an excellent finish. The recipe proved so successful that we incorporate it as one of our core beers.
Isis Pale is a transatlantic tipple that, like the best boat race crews, is truly greater than the sum of its parts.
