Ok, this was a bit like eating those foam bananas from the sweet shop when you were a kid. Now, personally, I hate bananas, and I don’t particularly like anything banana flavoured, but this is fantastic! It is crystal clear and smooth. I’m not much good with German, but I’ll go out on a limb and say that the “Kristall” tells you it’ll sparkle in your glass.
I don’t think this is the first beer these guys have made. Oh, wait, the Weihenstephaner brewery is the oldest continuously run brewery in the world, in operation since 1040- so they know a thing or two about making beer. I’ll be looking forward to trying some of their other beers too.
I’m sure they subscribe to the reinheitsgebot, too.
